Here is what the final layout looks like, with a harder cover and some numbering, its all set.

Magazine layout

We learnt a new software which can be used to create magazine layouts and whole books or menu cards and so on.

All from text and visuals can be edited in this software, mostly on the placement of the object.

images i used were all edited in photoshop which were mainly taken in the studio, here is an example of a classy rogue figure which i used on the content page to potray the overall magazine works, this sums it up.

The triangles were made using the shape tool in adobe illustrator just brought over to InDesign and the text was constructed in indesign itself.

in some cases, my main focus on photos were brightened and everything else was darkened to give effect for the text and as potrayed, a sense of style.

some of my visuals were even sketched out like this burger, sketched in photoshop using a wacom tablet.

Magazine

Prestige and class was the first thing that came to mind when we were told about a final project that involved us in designing a magazine.

Choosing colours and having simplicity was my aim that would be displayed in the magazine.

I started out by designing the title by choosing from a list of words to be used.

I used clipping mask while designing the letters for the pastel pink shade and then thickened the letter outline for that black shade.

I transfered this as an object to photoshop after adding three simple words for the sub heading. Cordial, rogue, suave.

i took several photos because you never know when you get the right shot until thier all tested out, trial and error.

after getting the right image, i chose on a specific colour theme with was black and white for the whole cover except for the title.

what i tried here was an effect whereby the text on the sides would look as if it were going behind the image here

there was also a drop effect shadow created for a more convincing effect

for the image aswell as the title!
